Lucky Side 7 is here!
lucky, because this shut-in ritual has been very beneficial to my spirit and from the feedback i've been getting...some of you guys too.
aside from new music, #7 is the first cover that i've painted! my daughter and i were messing around with some old kiddie paint she had lying around. i'll try to keep this up while the paint lasts and i'll try not be too judgey with myself that although i am not a painter, i can enjoy it! just like my terrible disc golf game. see, more benefits of quarantine!
i never imagined that our current situation would be stretching this long.
i honestly thought this project would be an interesting way to pass a couple of weeks. well, it looks like we are all in it for real. let's be in to win it, together.
Lucky, because we are alive to see the new possibilities.

about the Shut-In Sides project:

Pandemic got you down? Faced with an abundance of time on my hands and locked in a house with music equipment, i decided to do a little project to stay sane and productive...
presenting The Shut-In Sides!
derived from solo improvisation, each release is a long form exercise approx the length of a vinyl album side.
Rules? While each release has no limits on the number of improvised passes allowed once a chunk of music has been selected to mix, all tracking must take place in a single day.
Hopefully these recordings provide some 20 min spurts of vacation from these strange historic times.

i, like everyone else in the music industry, have found themselves suddenly unemployed...
